How To Create DigiLocker Account and Upload Documents on it

Here we are going to talk about how to create DigiLocker secure wallet account which is powered by National eGovernance Division, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
In DigiLocker you can upload your all necessary Certificate Documents including DL & RCs digitally. All documents in DigiLocker can be shared to anybody via emails for verifications. From now Ministry of Road Transport and Highways declares that there is no need of physical presence of DL & RC while driving. Digital DLs & RCs can also be verified by traffic police and other law enforcing agencies in case of need. They are merging Sarathi & Vahan portals for that. Only you need the DigiLocker App in your mobile.
So first of all let’s see how one can create DigiLocker Account.
Step 1: Go to the https://digilocker.gov.in and create your profile there by Signing Up.
Step 2: Enter your Mobile No. on which you will receive an OTP, you need to verify this six digit code here.
Step 3: Now it opens a new page which asks for Username and Password. Enter your desire username and password and hit Sign Up.
Now your profile is created and Active.
- Here you need to upload your documents. Only PDF, JPEG & PNG below 10 MB is permitted.
Your uploaded files are showed in Uploaded Documents section where you can set the document type like Pan Card, Driving License , Registration Certificate, Voter Id etc. You can eSign the documents but it required Aadhaar Number Linking to this account.
For DL & RCs now go through this link-
it gets you Pull Partner Document section select partner and document type, enter your details and click Get Document.
now it will fetch your records from the partner and get it to you.
You can share all uploaded documents to anyone via email. All you need to do is to click on share option, enter the email id and click share.
